General Doubt in multi threading
Meanwhile, if you didn't want to muck up the mail, you could play around with your $reply_regexp to get it to accept the *task* notices, perhaps including the trailing hyphen, as replies; then you'd simply turn off strict threading and let mutt put things together based on the subject line. %=20 % Any ideas?

Naive threading performance questions
I don't know if perhaps the poster accidently posted several series under a single thread or what but all I know is that if I view things as threaded I miss out. Like I said in another post, you can set Gravity to thread strict (by ID only), or by subject and ID. The default is the latter (the most useful).

Haskell is, as you may know, a non-strict, pure, functional language. So it is composed of expressions, whose evaluation is delayed until the result is needed. ... My view is that such things are a level above the one being discussed here (at least by most people). Ie, given decent support for LOTS of threads,

I would like to know if it is possible to use strict threading on Mail.app (strict threading relays on message-id's to form threads, also known as conversations, instead of using the subject line). I guess you are talking about strict POSIX threading model (which is not consitent with C++ by the way). It is not true for other models (see my other post).
